WHY OUTSOURCE?: Outsourcing your
Practice Management
In practice management, time is a crucial element.
Needless to say, the speed at which doctors submit their claims
and statements to insurance companies and their patients also determine
the speed at which they will be able to collect payments and reimbursements.
Not to mention, the ability to immediately identify and follow-up
denials can considerably cut the amount of time accounts stay in
receivable status.
For lack of better options, doctors in the past have relied on in-house
personnel and purchased practice management software. But despite
the seeming advantages in doing in-house processing, the truth is,
there is a better, more cost-efficient alternative to ensure efficient
and timely collection of receivablesand that is outsourcing.
Aside from the obvious expenses incurred for regular wages, state
and federal taxes, employee benefits, bonuses and incentives, there
are also additional and hidden costs involved in maintaining in-house
personnel such as training, office space, utilities and office equipment.
Not to mention, the headaches of dealing with human resources problems
like absenteeism, turnover, and even confidentiality. Outsourcing
eliminates these headaches at a fraction of the cost of in-house
processing.
